Punnett Square Calculator This calculator is used by geneticists to determinate the probability of an offspring having a parents with known genotypes. It can show all possible allelic combinations of gametes, predict offspring genotype and phenotype frequencies for monohybrid, dihybrid, trihybrid or polyhybrid crosses.
Genes Recombination Calculator
This Recombination calculator can be used to determinate:
1) genes localization map and recombination frequency between two or three loci
2) parentes genotypes
3) double crossing-over and coincidence.
For small distance, the recombination frequency (RF) is proportional to the map distance. For large distance, multiple cross-overs must be taken into account.
Fly Sex Calculator
This calculator can be used to determine sex of fly (D.melanogaster). It is calculated using the following formula: \nC = X /P \nwhere C = coefficient, P = ploidy, and r = number of X - chromosomes. Female(C = 1); Male(C = 0.5); Superfemale(C > 1); Supermale(C < 0.5); Intersexs(0.9 >= C >= 0.6).

This calculator use recombination to determinate map distance between two loci. For small distance, the recombination frequency (RF) is proportional to the map distance. For large distance, multiple cross-overs must be taken into account. It is calculated using the following formula: \nRF = (1 - e^(-2 * map distance)) / 2.
Number To Screen CalculatorThis calculator estimates how many progeny to screen for finding at least ONE recombination progeny. It is calculated using the following formula: \nN = log(1-p) / log(1-r) \nwhere N = number of progeny one needs to screen, p = confidence or probability of obtaining a recombinant, and r = expected recombination rate between two loci.
