A collection of software tools that enables analysts to develop intelligence products
Opticks generates these products by analyzing signatures and data sets collected from specific technical sensors. Opticks presents data sets and signatures to the analyst using images and plots. The analyst then uses these views to manipulate the data and run algorithms to generate intelligence products.
Opticks will provide users with a core tool suite manipulating data and running algorithms. It also provides access to a number of plug-ins.

· Quickly layer GIS features, annotations, results, and other information over your data to provide context.
· Link dataset geographically. Zoom and pan one dataset links to another.

· Support for datasets in excess of four gigabytes (64-bit support).

· Connect to Geodatabases with ESRI ArcSDE integration.
· Support for Microsoft Windows ( 32-bit and 64-bit ) and Solaris SPARC operating systems.
Motion Imagery and Remote Sensing Video Features:
· Pan, zoom, rotate, and geo-referencing spatially large video.
· Playback multiple video datasets synchronized by time.
· Overlay geographics features and have them georeference per frame, moving as you playback.
Multi-Spectral and Hyper-Spectral Features:
· Support for multiple spectral dataset formats including BIP, BSQ, and BIL.
· Support for 1000's of spectral bands.
· ENVI signature importer.
· Principle Component Analysis.
SAR Features:
· Native support for complex data.
· Display as Phase, Magnitude, In-phase (I), and Quadrature (Q).

Application Changes:
New Features:
· A new Band Binning algorithm, available from the General Algorithms menu, allows binning and averaging of bands to aid in reducing the dimensionality of imported images. (OPTICKS-765)
· A primary raster element can now be associated with and georeferenced by an IGM file. (OPTICKS-767)
The following enhancements have been added to all plots (OPTICKS-893):
· A new mouse mode toolbar is available containing buttons to activate the available mouse modes.
· A new Toolbars menu is available on the context menu, allowing available toolbars to be shown or hidden individually.
· Capability now exists to zoom in/out on a plot with the mouse wheel, independently from the current mouse mode. The zoom direction adheres to the value defined in the options.
· The existing capability to zoom in/out by pressing the middle mouse button is now available independently from the current mouse mode.
· Directional panning is now available by pressing and releasing the .
